Invitation to SoC Student Conference 2018

Each year the School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth holds a showcase of good project and research work. We are very pleased to invite you along to see the work of our final year students, PhD students and research groups and to network with University staff and business guests.  The conference is listed with British Science Week.

The School’s research areas include Computational Intelligence, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, Systems and Information Systems, Intelligent Systems and Network and Security Research.  Current project areas include: augmented reality applications, cyber security and information security, Internet of Things, Robotics, mobile and web applications, business response to emerging technologies.

This year the conference is being held in the University’s newly built Future Technology Centre. The centre will provide advanced facilities and specialist equipment for collaborative projects between Industry and the University, and for training students in innovation, through hands-on experience.  The University’s Research and Innovation department has a presence there, and members of its staff will be on hand to discuss possibilities for collaboration.
